Former Emberson House
KYU-EMBERSON-ZYUTAKU
Welcome to the world 100 years ago. The Former Emberson House was built in 1904 as a residence for Robert Emberson, a missionary dispatched from Canada, and is the city's designated tangible cultural property. It has an unique atmosphere of the western-style residences created in the Meiji era, which fuses western and Japanese style housing. It is located right next to the Nihon-Daira Zoo, so please stop by when visiting the zoo.
