We teach you tips on partitioning and cutting, which are elements of traditional Japanese culture, using washi. This experience allows you to create chic, cute washi accessories. You can cook “kamegata,” the red rice that has been harvested from a restored rice paddy in the Toro ruins, in earthenware (demonstration) and taste the cooked red rice. Feel as though you traveled in time to the Yayoi era in the Toro ruins, which demonstrate the scenery of rice paddies from roughly 2,000 years ago!

You can learn about the history of Umegashima, which is said to date back 1,700 years, through photos and documents about its past and history of gold mining.
